PHOTOS: The Paramount (Oct 20, 2010) By Greg Nissen
City Arts Fest, photos, ShowsFew performance venues in Seattle have the presence that The Paramount Theater has. Aside from it being fuckin’ huge, B. Marcus Priteca’s illustrious 1920s cinema architecture haunts your every move. It whispers to you. It says shit like “what are you rappers doing here?” If anything, it makes for great photography. The young homie Greg Nissen (who came through awhile back for these studio shots) came through, armed with a Canon 5D Mk II and a Leica M2, to capture both the momentous and the minute, the analog and the digital.
