  1. David Dalla Gasperina Says:

Lyrically Geo is on point as always, progressing his message to the stage of his life that he is in. Sabzi (Sabzilla) has of coursed completely reinvented himself. You could almost hear this album coming if you picked up Made in Heights over christmas, but still he moves a little past that to deliver a new sound. Four years has been worth the wait. Great Album guys.- David Dalla Gasperina

  2. Jacob Hollingsworth Says:

What a great bday present, receiving this great album made my day Sunday. I love the album great music and hopefully turns people on to a few interesting people. I’m very proud and honored to have had the chance to have my name inside this album. Well played sir.

  3. Carl Says:

Blew me away guys. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but this far exceeds anything I could have imagined you guys putting out. It is straight fire right from the first song and it maintains that consistency all the way through. I have to say, definitely worth the long wait. Congratulations on the album

  4. Paul Masatani Says:

Incredible album, definitely the best you guys have done so far. “Yuri Kochiyama” is so so good, I’ve listened to it over 20 times already. I knew nothing about her until this song, which is shame on me and I’m half Japanese, my grandfather was in the camps.

Saba you’re a beat making beast, seriously filthy
Geo, thanks for the history lesson.

    peace

  5. Chris! Says:

I love this album – the title track got me SO hyped – thanks for making my Sunday, keep it going!

  6. Mike Barszcz Says:

Finally!! The album is great guys, always delivers a strong message over some outstanding beats. The progress and evolution of Blue Scholars has always kept me interested. Any chance at a release of the instrumental for this CD??? I’ll pay extra for those!

  7. g_dub Says:

Thank you for this art. I’m all inspired to a) go do something creative and b) not be complacent and do more to move the swell. Been listening non-stop and still unpacking layers. Loving the global influence in the sonics and the verse – while at the same time reconnecting to the local.

  8. lindsay Says:

i heard a couple of songs on youtube and im really excited to hear more. also very interested in the music video/short films idea… can you guys mention some filmmakers you are working with? are they all local seattle?

  9. Robbie Ferraren Says:

I am exceedingly pleased with the sound from this album, but more importantly the message is so ‘in your face.’ My favorite track currently is Yuri Kochiyama, I want to be like her when I grow up. It is important that we become more aware of what we can do as a people. I’m thankful and joyous to have been listening to the Blue Scholars since the first album.

I would also like more MADE IN HEIGHTS! HOLLA!

  10. Cameron Gustafson Says:

i got mad respect for you guys. loved the whole signed to the people thing. love your originalitly. love the messeges your music delivers. that being said, cinematropolis… i’m not really feeling it. i get how your trying to evolve as artists but i would have rather you guys stayed with that smooth bayani style instead of this new electronic sound on cinematropolis. bayani, that was my shit. that still is my shit. that whole album is classic. i’m sure a lot of people will love cinematropolis but its just not for me. i’d love to see a return to the old. bayani will forever be one of the greatest albums of all time to me. that style is just what i personally like.

sorry for the negative review but i still got love for you guys. you’ll always be one of my favorites.

  11. Jenelle Melchior Says:

I purchased an advanced digital copy of the album but never received it :(

  12. Vinny Says:

yo guys! i have been following the scholars for years now and kick back to em constantly, this album is dope. I personally look for music with lyrical meaning, and this, this is some shit! Hussien and Tommy Chong are two of my fav’s off the new album. these songs hit home for me and like most of your tracks do. i love an support the scholars and always will. congrats on the new album fella’s this is a nice piece of work!
